Welcome
This is my first blog and my first post. Shows you what I do with a beautiful Saturday afternoon in CT when the leaves are changing and the sun is shining. I'll keep it short so I can go for a long bike ride.
I'm into file formats and my company, Visual Integrity (www.visual-integrity.com), said I could experiment with a blog to discuss all the tips and tricks that we've learned. A few of us will be in on it - you'll meet them over time. Anyhow, we're into converting vector formats - so we're experts on PDF, PostScript, EPS, WMF and EMF. We can convert them into practically anything. What's cool, for example is converting a PDF file into a CAD format and then being able to change the lines, CAD objects and text it in AutoCAD, Microstation, etc. Or converting a PDF file into a high quality image that can be handed off to a printer or used in a newsletter instead of being stuck with the fuzzy results you get when copy/pasting from Acrobat into Publisher or Word.
Anyhow - let us know if you need to know the best way to convert from one format to another. I'll be back with some answers to your questions and general tips and tricks. Wish us luck - I hope we can make a really cool resource center for file format conversion via this blog...

Hey,
My maiden name used to be Mary Dolan. Actually, it was Mary Kathleen Dolan. Anyway, I was wondering if you might have some "trick" as far as converting an hour and 15 minute combination songs and pictures from a CD to a DVD? When I did it, the timing got all screwed up - - and the words and the songs no longer match. Any ideas?

Hi,
I was wondering if you could help me figure out how to convert .dat files to .usr files.
The worldwide turnpoint exchange has a lot of .dat files used in the sport of soaring but my gps a lowrance brand needs .usr file extensions.
